Your summary appears here. Paste text (or try a sample), choose a format, then press Summarize.
How to use the research paper summarizer
- Choose the paper’s PDF or paste its text. Cut the reference list; it wastes the character limit.
- Keep the Key points format for the structured view, or pick TL;DR for a one-line note for your reading log.
- Press Summarize, then check the findings against the results section before citing.
Built for literature reviews
When you are screening twenty papers, you need the same five facts from each one in the same place. The summarizer always returns research question, methods, key findings, limitations and why it matters, and writes “Not stated in the text” when a section is missing, so you can tell a short excerpt from a thin paper.
It is told not to overstate causality. If the authors report a correlation, the summary will not turn it into a cause.
Citing responsibly
A summary is a reading aid, not a source. Cite the paper itself, and check the exact figure in the results section before quoting it. Most universities treat submitting an AI-generated summary as your own work as a breach of academic integrity, so use the output as notes and write in your own words.
Results
Your summary answers: What did they find, and how big was it?
The primary outcome with its number: the effect size, the confidence interval or p-value. Secondary results only if they change the story.
Questions people ask
Can I paste the whole paper?
Yes, up to 60,000 characters, which fits most full papers without the reference list. Papers over 20,000 characters are summarized in sections and merged; for the sharpest structured summary, paste the abstract, introduction, methods, results and discussion and leave out references and appendices.
Does it keep p-values and effect sizes?
Yes. It is instructed to report sample sizes, effect sizes, confidence intervals and p-values exactly as stated in the text.
Can I use the summary in my paper?
Use it as notes. Cite the original paper and write the text in your own words; check your institution’s policy on AI tools.
Does it work for papers in other languages?
Yes. The summary is written in the language of the text you paste.
