How to use the book & chapter summarizer

  1. Paste one chapter at a time (up to about 3,000 words).
  2. Keep Key points for study notes, or Paragraph for a recap.
  3. Press Summarize and save each chapter’s result to build up notes for the whole book.

Chapter by chapter works best

Whole books are far longer than any single summary can take, and a summary of a summary loses the details a class discussion asks about. Summarize each chapter as you read it; your recent summaries are saved in this browser so you can revisit them before an exam.

Because the summarizer only sees what you paste, it will not spoil later events, and it will not rely on (possibly wrong) memories of a famous book.

Questions people ask

Can I summarize an entire book?

Not in one go: the limit is 60,000 characters (roughly 9,000 words, a few chapters). Summarize chapter by chapter for accurate notes.

Does it know the book already?

It is instructed to use only the text you paste, so the summary reflects what is actually on the page.

Is using it for school cheating?

Using a summary to review what you read is fine; submitting AI-written text as your own work usually is not. Check your teacher’s rules.
