Short version: no accounts, no ad trackers, and your text is not stored on our servers.
Text you summarize
When you press Summarize, the text in the box is sent over HTTPS to our server, which passes it to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway to generate the summary and streams the result back. We do not save the text or the summary on our servers or use them for anything else. Don't paste passwords, health records or anything you are not allowed to share with third-party services.
Links and PDFs
If you use Fetch text, our server downloads that public web page to extract its text. PDFs are opened and read entirely in your browser; the file is never uploaded. Only the extracted text is sent if you choose to summarize it. The word counter never sends anything.
Stored in your browser
Your last 25 summaries and your preferred format and length are saved in your browser’s localStorage so they are there next time. They never leave your device. You can view them on Your saved summaries or delete everything here:
Analytics and limits
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly tool, to count page views. To prevent abuse, the server briefly keeps a count of requests per IP address in memory; it is not written to disk and resets regularly.
